Our Story

R & ROur Story
Riddhi was 20 minutes late to our first date thanks to an ill-fated Uber Pool. Thankfully, Rishabh waited, and six years later, we’re both glad he did. Los Angeles, 2020.

We bonded over our love for hiking and nature. Turns out we make great adventure partners, as long as Rishabh isn’t navigating. On a screen, 2021.

Our first trip together outside the country started with scuba diving and ended with cliff diving. We learned we don’t really do gentle warmups. Long Beach to Texas, 2022.

Moving in together lasted about a week before we decided to add a third roommate. Enter Arlo. Temple, Texas, 2023.

We moved to Fort Worth, where Riddhi started residency and Rishabh continued building his startup. Busy days, long nights, and lots of love in between. Fort Worth, 2024.

What to wear

Good to know

  • Save solid red for the bride; otherwise color is encouraged.
  • Avoid head-to-toe white for the ceremony. White with color is fine.
  • No head covering is needed. Shoes may come off near the mandap.

Questions

What is a baraat?

The groom's procession. Rishabh arrives with a drummer and everyone who feels like it dances him to the door. It is loud, it is not solemn, and you are meant to join in. It starts at one o'clock, so arriving late means missing it.

How long is the ceremony?

About an hour. There are seats for everyone, and it is normal to talk quietly, take photographs, and get up if you need to. It is not a church service.

Can I bring my children?

Yes. Indian weddings are full of children and nobody minds noise.

Can I bring a plus one?

Your invitation on Zola will say. If it does not name a guest, we have unfortunately had to keep numbers down.

Is there a registry?

On Zola, with the RSVP. Your presence is genuinely the point, and several of you are flying a long way for this.

What food will there be?

Indian, with vegetarian options throughout. We will share final allergy and dietary-request details with the RSVP.

When should I RSVP by?

The RSVP deadline will be included with the formal invitation.
